Trader Joe's Starts Expansion At Hartsdale Store

Trader Joe's Hartsdale store is starting work on a 4,000-square-foot expansion at 215 North Central Ave. while construction of a Shake Shack wraps up nearby.

Trader Joe's is expanding in Hartsdale. The project includes a new entrance and construction of a free-standing building at the Westchester Square shopping center.

They have begun fencing off the area for the expansion.

Westchester Square shopping center has received permission for an entry on Dalewood Avenue which could be coming soon as well.

Approved by the Greenburgh Town Board in 2016, Trader Joe's said the store will remain open throughout the expansion project.

Yonkers-based Hampshire Management also plans to build a new 8,000-square-foot building for stores or offices behind the Best Buy electronics store.
